Oops...my bad.  Although most of the favorite films I added were pre 1970 films, I added some post-1970 films without thinking.  Sorry about that.

Hi I'm new to the/ board and i'd like to post my must-see-before-you-die-movies prior to 1970. Here they are with my rating (but no pics):

12 Angry Men
Casablanca
Gone with the Wind
It's a Wonderful Life
(all four of them 9/10)

Ace in the Hole
Double Indemnity
On the Waterfront
Paths of Glory
Psycho
The Apartment
To Kill a Mockingbird
Witness for the Prosecution
(8/10)

A Streetcar Named Desire
Anatomy of a Murder
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Cool Hand Luke
Harvey
Good, Bad and Ugly
Lawrence of Arabia
North by Northwest
Rear Window
Rosemary's Baby
Shichinin no samurai
Singin' in the Rain
Some Like It Hot
The Hustler
The Lost Weekend
The Philadelphia Story
The Searchers
The Third Man
(7/10)

Citizen Kane
Dr. Strangelove
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
Rebel Without a Cause
The Graduate
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Vertigo
(6/10)

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
Sunset Blvd.
(5/10)

2001: A Space Odyssey

So I think that's it. Although I don't like all of them - as you an see on my rating - there are more or less classics IMO.
